So what is a Wetbox?

The Wetbox series are a range of prefabricated wet areas for domestic building which include kitchens, bathrooms, ensuites, powder rooms and laundries. The Wetbox was created as the ultimate solution for multi-unit developments to reach completion fast without compromising the structures overall design.

Not only does a Wetbox smoothly integrate into any traditionally built structure, it actually looks and feels exactly the same as if it were built on site. In fact, most of our clients believe it’s better.


What about the cost?

The Wetbox will generally be cheaper if not the same cost as onsite construction because we use exactly the same methods of building as traditional systems. The major cost savings are found in supervision and management of these often problematic ‘wet areas’.

In most cases the Wetbox will save the purchaser somewhere between 10% and 20% off the trade price. Example cases are available upon request.


So how does it work?

The Wetbox is a water tight pre-finished module that slots into a dwellings structure at framing stage. It is designed to be durable enough to withstand weather extremes during the framing and lockup phases as well as providing excellent vandal resistance. In fact, Wetboxes are so tuff that they can actually reduce the overall bracing requirement of the host structure.

What about choice?

With 14 standard designs (and counting) we are sure to have a layout to suit almost everyone’s needs. What about services?

The Wetbox is a fully pre-finished module meaning that all plumbing fixtures, such as toilets and sinks are fitted and ready to use once the module has been connected to the water and sewer line on site. To make installation simpler, we fully plumb and wire the Wetbox to a single point which is determined by the structure that will be receiving it. This makes connection extremely simple and adaptable to an array of different conditions on site regardless of whether the structure has a slab or sub floor.


How do you move it around?

The Wetbox is delivered to site directly from the factory and for a small fee it can be placed exactly where it needs to go. Alternatively, if things aren’t quite ready, the Wetbox can be stored on site and is light enough to be trolley jacked, forked or craned into its final location. No other product offers so many options for mobility.


Is it certified?

The Wetbox is designed and manufactured in Australia. It’s engineer certified and complies with the BCA and all relevant Australian Standards. It is triple checked and tested before leaving the factory to ensure a quality standard second to none. Certification for plumbing and wiring is also available.


What about the environment?

The Wetbox has a green focus and from an environmental perspective we don't do too bad. The Wetbox actually reduces building wastage and it’s structure is built almost entirely from renewable pine.
